WVC currently has 5 regional teams. The club has three mens teams and two ladies teams, all of which compete in the West Midlands Volleyball Association leagues. Mens 1 and 2 compete in Mens Division 1, Mens 2 in Mens Division 2, Ladies 1 in Ladies Division 1 and Ladies 2 in Ladies Division 2. WVC regional teams also compete in the WMVA cup competition.
In 2013, Coseley Volleyball Club merged with Wombourne Volleyball Club and the teams moved to Dudley College Evolve Campus, Dudley. Following the merger WVC entered two teams into the WMVA league, and for the first time the club establised a ladies team. The club have continued to grow and have added further mens and ladies squads.
Along with the growth in teams, the club have upskilled players in a range of coaching qualifications to ensure that all regional teams have their training sessions led by a Volleyball England qualified coach. The same coach also manages the team on a match day.
Having multiple ladies and mens teams allows for progression of players, and for the club to offer competitive volleyball for players of a range of abilities. Progression of players also includes the integration of junior players into ladies and mens squads.
Being based at Dudley college has enabled the club to form links with Dudley College, giving college staff and students an avenue to persue competitive volleyball.
